Chairman Yenagoa Local Government Council Area of Bayelsa State, Hon. Oforji Oboku Has stressed the need for council areas in the state to aggressively plan on revenue drive in meeting the various challenges facing the developmental endeavor of the Local Government.

Chairman of the council area made the statement while inspecting the construction of ultra-modern story shop outlets in Ekeki Motor Park.

Oforji coomended Governor Seriake Dickson for embarking on the laudable project, adding that it will go a long way to beautify the place.

Oforji equally noted that the shops will have a modern edifice with state of the art facilities when completed.

The council boss urged the people to support the state government’s effort, assuring them that the project will be completed in record time.

Commenting on the issue of the sale of public assets in the country, the chairman condemned the move by the Federal Government and those calling for it, describing it as a deservice to the nation.

He appealed to President Mohamadu Buhari to revamp the country’s economy through various economic recovery polices.

The chairman has equally promised that the Okordia/Zarama market world be upgraded and that work has commenced.

Speaking to our correspondent, Mr. Benson Fred, a trader at the Ekeki motor park commended the Council chairman and the Executive Governor of Bayelsa state for the great projects, appealing for more markets to constructed for the council area.
