PDP Chieftain in Delta state and Convener of Delta United For Tony Obuh, Chief Ayiri Emami, has said that Mr. Anthony Obuh is the most qualified to be the next governor of Delta state, saying that he is a seasoned technocrat and an administrator per excellence.

Chief Emami who recalled how members of the group began the campaign for Uduaghan governorship in 2006, stated that it was as a result of the group’s quest to choose a better gubernatorial aspirant for Deltans that they are calling on a proven technocrat in the person of Tony Obuh to run for Delta governorship in 2015.

The Warri Chief and renowned Niger Delta activist who spoke at a meeting of the group in Warri vowed that members of Delta United For Tony Obuh will strategize on how to push for Tony Obuh’s emergence as the PDP governorship  candidate for the governorship position come 2015.

In his comment, Chief Monday Igbuya, Majority Leader, Delta State House of Assembly enjoined members of the group to take the assignment of canvassing the Tony Obuh’s candidacy seriously, saying that his aspiration has received the nod of PDP top hierarchy.

The member representing Uvwie Constituency in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Efe Ofobruku, PDP Chairmanship candidates in Uvwie and Ethiope East local government areas, Hon. Henry Minabowanre Baro and Chief Faith Majemite, a commissioner BRACED Commission,  Chris Onogba,
two-time Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government area, Chief Ohaegbunen Emeke as well as a PDP Chieftain in Warri North Local Government, Mr. Omolubi Newuwumi all of whom spoke on the mandate of the group, reiterated the need for members to be steadfast and committed in the resolve to ensure that Tony Obuh emerges next governor of Delta State.

A cross section of PDP faithfuls from the three senatorial districts in the state attended the meeting which was also graced by a former commissioner in Delta State, Hon. Onochie Okonkwo.
