AKPIMEGI TO GIVE SCHOLARSHIPS TO INDIGENT SEC. SCHOOL LEAVERS IN UGHELLI KINGDOM

Chief Samuel Ejiro Akpimegi, a business mogul has concluded plans to give out scholarships to some indigent secondary School leavers of Ughelli Kingdom extraction to enable them pursue further higher education in any tertiary institution of their choice.

This was disclosed by Chief Akpimegi in an interview with the National Reformer, he said that he wants to complement the efforts of the state government in giving quality education to his people as government alone cannot do it.

Chief Akpimegi further disclosed that the effort is his own contribution to the society, he explained that the scholarship scheme was carefully designed to assist indigent secondary School leavers who want to pursue their chosen careers in universities.

He noted that the idea was his own way of giving back to the society, he revealed that over sixty – eight (68)under graduates have been sponsored by his foundation, SOAD International adding that he decided to bring home the scholarship program to benefit indigent students from Ughelli Kingdom.

Chief Akpimegi said that he has made plans of reaching out to all the president generals of communities from Ughelli kingdom as part of his strategy to get the best student to benefits from the scheme.
