Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, has mourned the death of respected academician and Christian cleric, Rev. Dr. Jackson Ireyefoju.

Dr. Ireyefoju reportedly died last night after decades of an illustrious career as a university teacher and preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In a condolence message, Dr. Tidi described the late Rev. Dr. Ireyefoju as a literary icon, who distinctly delivered historical pieces of information and knowledge to the younger generation through deep African proverbs and philosophy.

While disclosing that Dr. Ireyefoju was one of those whose lifestyle inspired his endless pursuit for knowledge and academic heights, the Warri South Local Government Chief

Executive, stated that the late cleric left an enduring legacy that the Itsekiri Nation and his family would be proud of.

He described Dr. Ireyefoju as a man who stood firmly for truth and justice all through his sojourn on earth, advising youths of today to emulate the virtues of the departed academic cum Christian cleric.
