Chairman Warri South Local Government Area, Dr Michael Tidi on Friday consoled the people of Okere Urhobo Kingdom over the death of the daughter of their monarch, His Majesty, Emmanuel Oron Okumagba II, the Orosuen of Okere Urhobo Kingdom.

Tidi prayed God to comfort the monarch and his family, saying that losing a loved one is very painful.

The Warri South Council Chairman was accompanied by the Secretary to the Warri South Local Government Area, Mr Joseph Oribioye, supervisors and some councilors.

“I received the message of the lost of your daughter with great shock.
I am here with members of the council to console your family and the entire kingdom at this trying time.

“Losing someone that is dear to you is very painful. It’s a sad thing and we are here to sympathize with you.

“We are here to pray with you and to let you know that at this moment it is only Almighty God that will consoled you. As a government we are going to support you when the announcement of burial is concluded.

“We pray that untimely death shall not occur in your family again,” Tidi said.

Responding, the monarch commended the chairman and his entourage for the visit, saying that losing a child is very painful.

“I must commend your presence here because when people come around you in times like this, you get succour and strength to take life the way it comes.

“My consolation is that she is with the Lord. For those of us who are left behind we should strengthen our faith with God. We should continue to endure till God Kingdom.

“We have never in my widest imagination thought of burial my daughter. It’s traumatic experience.
I leave everything to God because nothing happens without God’s knowledge,” the Okere Urhobo monarch said.
