MAJEMITE THROWS WEIGHT BEHIND AWHINAWHI, URGES DELEGATES TO VOTE MASSIVELY FOR HIM
A prominent political leader and People’s Democratic Party, PDP chieftain, Olorogun Fred Majemite has thrown his weight behind the re-election bid of Hon. Chief Solomon Ahwinahwi, to represent the people of Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives in 2019.
He called on the delegates to the PDP Primaries to vote en masse for Hon. Ahwinahwi, describing him as the most qualified in national legislative operations, with ample opportunities to benefit our people and area.
Chief Majemite made the declaration when the federal lawmaker and a handful of his political campaign group members paid him a consultative visit to acquaint the two-time commissioner of his (Ahwinahwi’s) ambition to re-contest the seat in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
According to the Okiemute R’Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom, “As a leader in PDP and a stakeholder in the politics of Ughelli North and Delta State in general, I have implicit confidence in Hon. Chief Solomon Ahwinahwi whom I have known as a friend and a brother for a very long time.”
He expressed delight that Chief Ahwinahwi is an astute politician and a very serious minded businessman of no mean repute, noting that the lawmaker’s re-emergence will automatically accord him the status of a top-ranking cognate member of the hallowed chamber with so much to harvest on behalf of his constituency.
He stressed his willingness to give Ahwinahwi total support to enable him emerge, not only as the PDP flag bearer at the primaries, but also help retain the constituency seat in the House.
Olorogun Majemite, therefore, appealed to all the delegates in Udu-Ughelli Federal Constituency to vote massively for Ahwinahwi, stressing that, “Apart from his loyalty and being a huge source of support for the PDP over the years, there are viable plans to sponsor worthy and people-oriented bills and motions for the development of the entire constituency.
He equally appealed to leaders in Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu LGAs to educate and encourage their delegates to the PDP primaries to vote for Hon Solomon Ahwinahwi to enable him finish strong what he started a few years ago.
