Chairman and members of the Billy Ofesi -led Exco of Tebu Community

TEBU Community in Warri North LGA of Delta State has inaugurated a new 9-member executive to run the affairs for the next four years in the first instance.

The 9-member exco has Mr. Billy Ofesi as Chairman; Mrs Appearance Tongbe Secretary; Bemigho Orioghoye, PRO and Hon. Florence Mene as Treasurer. Other exco members are: Odemi Wilkie, Women leader; Tuoyo Utieyin Vice Chairman; Mary Aboyowa Clarke, Assistant Secretary; Toju Omentie, Assistant Woman Leader and Tuoyo Omagbitse as financial Secretary respectively.

Conducting the inauguration ceremony on Friday February 2, 2024, the newly installed community head Pa. Benson A.S. Tuoyo charged them to put the community interest above all other consideration in the discharged of their duties, even as he admonished them to sustain the tempo of infrastructural development and growth initiated by the out gone executive.

In his acceptance speech the new chairman, Mr. Billy Ofesi assured the mammoth crowd of his preparedness to take Tebu to the next level of infrastructural and digital height that would make Tebu a business and tourist destination in the Benin River axis of Warri Kingdom.

He called for support, understanding and unity of purpose, saying “he is going to run an all-inclusive government, just as he solicited for positive suggestions/ideas to enable his executives achieve their dream for the collective benefit of the community.

Tebu community under Chevron’s Olero Oil Field is a major stakeholder and plays host also to NEPL/ELCREST, former NPDC, a subsidiary of NNPCL
The Inauguration ceremony was built into the Annual General Meeting of Tebu by the outgoing Deacon Godwin Ogboro- led exco who ran the affairs of the community for two tenure from 2016-2024 and rendered an account of their stewardship.

Among those that witnessed the inauguration of the Mr. Billy Ofesi Executive were two past Chairman of the Community Trust, Mr. Canaan Ajagbawa, Elder Charles Okotie and Mr. Orits Okotie amongst others.
