The Nigerian Legion, Edo State of the Nigerian Army held its passing out parade for its Corps of Nigerian Commissionaires (CNC) after six months of training.

Among the 46 officers and men of the command that passed out is Com. Andrew A. Ohwobetehe, chairman, Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Sapele Correspondents Chapel who was decorated with the rank of a Major.

Addressing the passing out cadet officers of the Nigerian Legion, Col. Osawaru J.B. Awanbor(rtd), chairman, Edo State Command advised them to be security conscious due to the current security challenges in Nigeria as well as maintain high sense of responsibility and integrity in their dealings with the public.

Also, the Chairman of the occasion, Col. Nat Ojo Edokpayi (Rtd) represented by Col. Oludare Aigbe Davies (CNC) solicited assistance for the Legion in Edo State so as to promote good governance.

Other Officers of the Command in their respective comments commended the new officers and men of the batch B for their discipline throughout the period of training and eventual successful completion of the exercise.

Responding on behalf of others, one of the newly decorated officers, Major Andrew Ohwobetehe expressed gratitude to God for the achievement and congratulated his colleagues on their successful passing out, he expressed optimism that they would apply the knowledge and experience acquired during the period to face life and security challenges in the society.
