Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State

The Chairman of Isoko North Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Godwin Ogorugba has scored the State Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa 70 percent on his two years administration in office.

Prince Ogorugba made this assertion while addressing newsmen after its LGEA meeting, stating that, Gov. Okowa has recorded a high level of success in the areas of creating employment for the youths to be self employed across the state through it YAGEP programmes, infrastructural development, project implementation as well as ensuring that workers welfare remains its top priority and ensuring lasting peace in state.

He emphasized on the need for the state governor to check mate his political appointees in the discharge of their duties to their people, stating that, some of his political appointees are not performing, and however commended the Honourable Commissioner for Housing Arch Ajiri-Oghene Ogeh for all he has done for his people.

When asked on his opinion on the factions in the party, Prince Ogorugba replied saying, “Factions or no factions, PDP is one. It is people that make up the party not the party that make up the people. All we are working towards is the victory of the party in any election ahead of us”.

The Isoko North PDP boss also posited that, in his bid to full his electoral promises and show his  administration accountability, Wednesday 10th May, the Governor will preside over a Townhall meeting at Opute Hall, Ozoro at 8.00am, adding that the Townhall meeting will be an avenue for community leaders, Labour unions, party faithful, community women leaders, market women, registered artisans, students, clergy, Okada riders, professionals, non indigenes, traditional rulers and physically challenged to brainstorm on various issues affecting them.
