Governor Uduaghan made the disclosure on Tuesday during the commissioning of Sapele/Abigborodo/Aruowun road.

According to the Governor, “it is not easy to develop the rural communities, especially, the riverine communities, I have done the best I can.”

He observed that constructing link road to Abigborodo was a huge challenge because of the swampy nature of the area.

“This road was virtually built on top of water, my people, the Abigborodo people must appreciate that the efforts it took to construct this road was enough to construct several kilometers of road in other places,” the Governor said, adding, “I believe so much in the efficacy of prayers, Abigborodo people must continue to pray because the place has a potential of growing, our community must grow, our community must develop.”

The Governor expressed confidence that his administration has provided social amenities to better the lives of the people.

Chairman of Abigborodo Community, Comrade Monday Agbeyi had in a welcome address told the Governor, “you are a worthy ambassador of your people and we are happy that you did not betray the confidence reposed in you throughout the duration of your political voyage as Delta State number one citizen,” adding, “our dear Governor, your monumental achievements in the areas of potable water supply, education, infrastructural development, health and security among others will for a long time, remain indelible in the minds of our people, Deltans and Delta State history.”

“You have left your footprint on the sands of time,” he stated.
