Bayelsa State House of Assembly Elect for Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Constituency Two, Engr Ebiye Tarabina has hailed the independent Electoral commission (INEC) for smooth conduct of the recent re-scheduled Bayelsa state House of Assembly election in kolokuma/Opokuma and sagbama Local Government Areas.

Engr Tarabina made the revelation after he was declared winner after the conduct of the election, he also observed that the electoral officials and materials arrived early, while the card readers performed better.

The Assembly Elect stress that he will strive to meet the expectations and yearning of his constituents, irrespective of party affiliation, while thanking and commending the APGA party faithful and the teaming supporters who contributed no small measures in making his dream come true.

Also speaking, he unveiled some of these salient areas of endeavour in contributing to society such as ensuring social Justice, youths and human empowerment, education, provision of social amenities among others that are direct bearing to the electorates in his constituency.

Tarabina added that for the spirit of development, he urges politicians of different party affiliation to embrace the new spirit of reconciliation, forgiveness, unity, peace and love to reign in the constituency and the Local Government in general, describing democracy as good governance and quality representation, which he pledged to exhibit.

Also, in the same vein extend gratitude to the out-going president Goodluck Jonathan for his steadfast promotion of the democratic electoral process and his commitment in encouraging INEC to independently conduct free and fair elections in Nigeria.

While urging all citizen to be agent of peace even after the elections to move the nation forward, Tarabina further reiterated that the ‘stability and progress of the constituency and the state at large is paramount and placed over and above all personal and group interest at all times”

It may be recalled that the People Democratic Party has shown supremacy in Bayelsa State House of Assembly election, winning 20 seats while the All progressives congress APC emerged winner  in Brass constituency  I and the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA won the Saturday re-scheduled Assembly Seat in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area.

Also, in an enlarge press briefing Mr Baritom Kpagih, the resident Electoral commissioner thanked Bayelsans for their peacefulness, stressing that a new Dawn has emerged in the electoral process while appreciating security agencies, staff of INEC for their cooperation in conducting free and fair poll.

The REC boss also hinted that the commission would conduct Brass constituency II and Ogbia constituency II when agreement of peace by political stakeholders in the affected communities is attained for hitch free poll.

Also speaking, Hon Gesiye Isowo, former commissioner of Federal Projects Bayelsa State, congratulates Hon Ebiye Tarabina for standing out among other contestants by winning the Assembly seat in KOLGA constituency II, Hon Isowo  in his word said Engr Tarabina did not only win the election but also break the Jinx of PDP Strong hold in the Local Government.

Hon Isowo equally reveals that the electionary mandate of Engr Tarabina would spur to a greater level that would benefit to the constituency, especially to the common man. Describing the Assembly elect as an Astute and consummate Politician, an epitome of simplicity, forthrightness and a leader for the masses.

Certainly, the KOLGA constituency II was so optimistic that the assembly elect will obviously bring his wealth of experience in bridging the Democratic dividends.
