A Group, Crusade for Democracy and Good Governance (CDGG), today hailed the alleged decamping of Mr Fidelix Tilije, running mate to Chief Great Ogboru of the Democratic Peoples’ Party (DPP) and other members of the party in Delta State to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

National Publicity Secretary of the group, Chief Ejiro Okparerume told newsmen today in Abuja on his return from a trip abroad that members of the group received the news of the decamping of the DPP chieftain, Fidelix Tilije and some DPP members in Delta State and national House of Assembly to APC with great excitement.
According to him, the massive decamping of the DPP members to APC was a confirmation of Chief Frank Kokori who was recently quoted as saying that DPP was dead and buried.
He said; “Gentlemen of the press, I want to tell you that we in our group are elated over the dumping of DPP by the running mate to chief Ogboru, all DPP members in the Delta State House of Assembly including Hon Keston Okoro, Hon Akpodiete Edoja Rufus and Hon Chief Austine Ogbaburhon of the House of Representatives; this is a welcome development to the newly registered APC”.
“I want people to know that APC has come to stay and this is why serious minded politicians in Delta are falling over themselves to join the party. We want to salute the courage of Fidelix Tilije and his co-travelers for their wise decision to back out of DPP and join APC”, he stated”.
He also said; “Those who are leaving DPP on a daily basis in Delta State have seen the clear hand writing on the wall that the party has over stayed its welcome and going nowhere again. I am glad that APC is being embraced by all and sundry. Chances of APC winning all elections in Delta State and at the national level are very bright”.
While advising the decampees to work hard for the success of APC in Delta State and at the national level, he added that it was high time the people of Delta State threw away PDP and DPP to embrace a new formidable party that is faithful and willing to work for the total transformation of the state and Nigeria in general.
