…As Unknow gunmen Kill Ozoro Businessman

A little girl of between 6-7 year old who was mistakenly shot in the head by two(2) brothers (names withheld) while they were fighting in Ozoro, lsoko north local government area hasMiraculously survived the bullet wound.

According to an eyewitness who pleaded anonymity, the incident which happened on Thursday in lyeosa street of Uruto quarter in Ozoro between the hours of 3-4.00pm , revealed that the girl was mistakenly shot on the head when the two boys who are from a popular family in Ozoro were fighting.

The witness added that one of the boy who was said to be mentaly unstabble, went into the house and brough out a gun threatening to kill his brother, but that while the two of them were struggling with the gun, it accidentaly went off and the bullet hit the little girl, who was said to be returning from school, on the head.

While speaking with our correspondent, the mother of the little girl said that, she was surprised when they called her that afternoon and told her that  the daughter was shot and has been rushed to hospital.

“I was so confused, because I didn’t know how it happen not until l arrived at the hospital, where the doctor said that there was no bullet inside the wound and not being convinced with the doctor’s statement we later had to try another doctor, who gave her some treatment before two(2) bullets were remove from the forehead.

The mother of the little girl who is presently pregnant,thanked God amidst tears of joy for her daughter’s life adding that what God did for her and the family is still a mistery for a little girl of her age to have survived gun shot in such delicate area like the forehead.

The father who was also contacted, said, “I was working when my wife called me that my little daughter was mistakenly shot.  I quickly stop what l was doing out of shock and rush down to the hospital where she was admitted.

“Though the first doctor was unable to remove the bullet, but we thanked God that the second doctor did it.  We were only told that she was hit by bullet from a missfired gun.

Meanwhile all efforts to reach the two brothers to ascertain the cause of the fight between them proved abortive as they were being apprehended by men of the Nigeria Police Force, Ozoro Division.

In another related development, a man who owns a very popular building materials in Ozoro (name withheld) was shot by unknown gunmen who wanted to abduct him on Tuesday morning.

He was was shot by his abductors while he was trying to resist them in front of his store along Ozoro/ Ughelli express way.

As at time of filing this report, efforts to reach the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Ozoro division proved abortive.
