The newly inaugurated Delta state Executive Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), has announced activities to commemorate the 2015 May Day celebrations in Asaba, the Delta state capital.

The state Chairman of the NLC, Comrade Williams Akporeha disclosed this today shortly after a meeting with Congress Leadership.

According to Akporeha, all arrangement for a colourful and successful ceremony is in top gear. “The celebration this year is going to be very colourful with an expected large turn out by the affiliate unions for the regular parade”, I want to therefore use this opportunity to invite all workers in Delta state  to turn out enmass to grace the occasion and celebrate the state workforce” the NLC Chairman added.

The Labour Leader stated further that “the State Governor, Comrade Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan is expected to be at the event which is scheduled to hold at the field of Saint Patrick’s Collage, Asaba by 10 am prompt”.
