The people of of Delta Central Senatorial District have been called upon give their support to Hon. Evelyn Oboro, a member, House of Representatives representing Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency to contests for the senatorial position to give Urhobo nation good representation  just as there would be mass mobilization to actualize this to enable Urhobo nation gets her due democracy dividends.

This call was made by The Concerned Uvwies, a socio-political pressure group in a statement signed by Engr. Vincent Agbofode, Mr. Christian Eshenake, Prince Felix Ukwade, chairman, secretary and director of organization respectively, the group disclosed that Hon. Oboro has all it takes, wealth of experience, motherly care among others to serve Urhobo nation.

The group noted that as Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Oboro has kept faith with her campaign promises to the people of Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency by attracting federal developmental projects to the area as well as giving out several empowerment packages to her constituents.

According to the group,  “we have been following her track records since she was elected in 2011. Hon. Oboro has performed well, she knows the needs of her people and she has given several empowerment packages to her people, these includes but not limited to grinding machines, freezers, motor saws,hairdressing kits, generating sets, sewing machines, vulcanizing machines, barbing saloon kits as well as monthly stipends to the aged and the needy in the three local government areas.”

The group further disclosed that Hon. Oboro took time out to organize medical team made up of gynecologists, optometrists, pediatricians, nurses, midwife’s  and  other support staff to give free medical treatment to her people, adding, “this she is doing to ensure that her people who cannot afford medical bills remain heathy always.”

The group added, “if she is given the ample opportunity to represent Urhobo nation in the Senate, no doubt she will replicate and even surpass what she has done for her people as a Member, representing Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency in the House of Representative , let’s give her all the needed support to enable her do more for Urhobo nation. This, to her would be a call to service, she would deliver on her mandate.”

The group noted that Hon. Oboro has proved doubting Thomas wrong as she has also done tremendously well in infrastructural development of the three local government areas with street light in Ohorhe, Uvwie Local Government Area, Solar power light at Ogodo Road, Sapele Local Government Area, Umiaghwa Health Centre, Okpe Local Government Area just to mention a few, adding, ” Hon. Oboro is an achiever, we urge the good people of Delta Central Senatorial District  to give her the chance to touch more lives as she is currently doing in her Federal Constituency.”

They added, after a cursory appraisal of her performance vis-a-vis her campaign promises, we found out that she is God-sent, a visionary leader and a role model to politicians irrespective of their sex to emulate, she no doubt has more innate qualities and values to help move Urhobo nation to the next level.”
