A prominent Community Leader, Lieutenant Colonel (Chief) Satchie Ayomike Etoromi  has paid tribute to late Chief Thomas Ekpemukpolo, the Tunteriowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom and the father of ex-militant leader, Chief Government Ekpemukpolo (Tompolo), saying he died when his wealth of experience was most needed.

Chief Etoromi  in  a statement  in Warri, Delta State  consoled family and friends of the late Chief Ekpemukpolo, saying they should be glad because he had lived a worthy and fulfilled life.

He also implored members of his family to stand strong and united as they mourn the late community leader, Chief Thomas Ekpemukpolo.

“Chief Thomas Ekpemukpolo as a successful businessman, philanthropist, educator, a lover of children, grassroots organizer and community leader gained the respect, trust and love of the people and he will be greatly missed,” Chief Etoromi said.

While  praying Almighty God to grant the soul of the late Community Leader eternal rest and grant members of the family the strength to bear the loss, Chief Etoromi, noted that the death of the 84 years old Chief Thomas Ekpemukpolo was an irreparable loss.

Etoromi, who is the Seipakumor  of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State added that  the exit of Chief Thomas Ekpemukpolo is not just a   major loss to the Ijaw nation and Niger Delta Region, but    for Nigeria as a whole.

“May the soul of our dedicated community leader, Chief Thomas Ekpemukpolo who lived a fulfilled and exemplary  life   rest in peace, Amen.”
