A  JSS3 female student of Springfield Int’l High School Sapele, Delta
State, Miss Izibili Bella has emerged the overall best student in the
Chris Ikomi Memorial Essay Competition organized by Chevron/NNPC Joint Sponsorship at the Government Model Secondary School, Asaba, Delta State.

Miss Izibili Bella came first out of over 5,400 students across Delta
State who participated in the exercise to emerged the winner where she was presented with a trophy, cash gift and other educational
materials, including a scholarship from the Director of Studies of the
institution, till she graduates from the school.

Mrs. Vivian Johnny (English Teacher, JSS) received the school’s prize which comprises the New International Websters, Comprehensive Dictionary of the English Language – Deluxe, Encyclopedia Edition and others unbehalf of the school from the organizers of the competition.

The staff of Springfield Int’l High School Ugbeyiyi, Sapele, including
Izibili Bella and her parent immediately proceeded to the office of
the Chief Inspector of Education Sapele, upon their return from Asaba, led by the Director of the School, Mrs. Akporotu, as the exercise climaxed with a thanksgiving service at the Divine Life, Baptist Life, Baptist Church, Sapele to thank God in respect of the awards/prize giving to the school on Sunday 31st day of January, 2016.

At the grand finale of the event, the Commissioner for Education Delt State, Mr. Ibe Kachukwu, Chevron/NNPC Representatives, Mrs. Vivian Johnny, the English Teacher of Springfield Int’l High School, Sapele, Chris Ikomi family and others were in attendance at the epoch making event at Asaba, Delta State.

The Principal of Springfield Int’l High School, Sapele, Mrs. Akporotu
including the English teacher Mrs. Vivian Johnny, appreciated Almighty God for making it possible for their student to emerge as the overall best winner of the competition, stressing that giving the same opportunity, their students would do same in all subjects in any competition world over, giving the high standard of the institution over the years.

The duo, appealed to the government, corporate organizations, or well placed individuals to give the awardee scholarship to study abroad so that she can display her potentials further as well as appeal to SEPLAT company operating in Sapele to include their school in their subsequent yearly quiz competition.

The awardee, Miss Izibili Bella who hails from Edo State but resides
in Sapele with her parents, thank God and the staff of the institution
including the sponsors of the competition revealing that she hope to
be a lawyer in the near future as she appealed to other students of
the college to work hard to be like her self so that tomorrow could be
their turn to excel.
