Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor has constituted three committees namely, Local Government Area Planning Authority committee, Customary Rights of Occupancy Committee and the Local Government Revenue Committee in a bid to give credence to governance at the grassroots level.

Egbabor in his speech said, the inauguration of the committees
especially that of the Local Planning Authority is in line with the
Nigeria Urban and Regional Planning laws of decree 18 of 1992 and as amended by decree 18 of 1999, adding that, the State  Government had on the 23th of August 2015 directed the Local Governments to Constitute and inaugurate the Local Government Planning Authority in line with section 10 (a-g) of the Delta State Urban and Regional Planning Law.

He noted that, the Local Planning Authority is established for
effective and efficient delivery of physical planning services and
developmental control in the Local Government stressing that, the
Planning Authority is to prepare well conceived and practicable
strategic physical development plans for the land area and various
human settlement plans within the local Government and has urged all Chairmen of Town Planning Committees of the various communities to work amicably with the Local Planning Authority.

Meanwhile, other two committees inaugurated were Customary Rights of Occupancy Committee headed by Hon. Chief Apah Itesah as Chairman and the Local Government Revenue Committee headed by Hon. Endurance Iniwawho the supervising councilor for finance.

The Chairman however assured the committees that, his administration will provide all necessary logistics support for takeoff and subsequent operations.

Responding on behalf of other Committees, the Chairman Local Planning Authority, Mr. Simeon Isagba, expressed delight and appreciation to have found them worthy of the task, assuring that the authority and Committees shall work relentlessly to improve on the IGR of the LGA.
