He also denied a newspaper report credited to him that he commended okowa for paying workers salaries, pointing out that the report did not originate from him.

Comrade Umurhurhu, explained to journalists in Sapele that he did not commend the Governor Senator Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa that he has paid teachers salary to date.

He said the story was the figment of the imagination of that reporter, explaining that Primary School Teachers in Delta State have not been paid since the last four months which is affecting them.

He added that based on the aforementioned, the Nigeria Union of Teacher (NUT) Delta State wing, had taken decision which will be unfolded soon to the public regarding their salary areas.

He stressed that he has no right to address the welfare of teachers in the state, because he is not the state chairman or the state secretary of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) Delta State.

Comrade Umurhurhu noted further that he only commended Sapele Local Government Education Secretary, Barr (Mrs) Omamerhi Agbana Nee Odebala for her good works, in taking Education in Sapele LGEA to a greater height.

The secretary NUT representing Sapele, Comrade Felix Igho Iweta has also commended the Secretary Sapele Local Government Education Authority Mrs. Agbana for her benevolent spirit which has endeared the workforce in the Local Government to herself.

He explained that since she came on board, Educational standard in the area has increased  drastically to the extent that Sapele has been rated very high amongst others.

He appealed to leaders in the area to give her maximum support for them to continue to get the best from her.
