Late Timi Ebikagboro

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council will on Thursday 19th of October, 2017, play a novelty football match at the Warri Township Stadium in honour of the memory of the Late Timi Ebikagboro, a renowned sports reporter cum analyst with the Delta Broadcasting Service, DBS Warri.

Rising from a meeting of the State Executive Council of the NUJ, where the Chairman, Comrade Michael Ikeogwu briefed members of the burial arrangements of the late colleague, he also informed them of the decision of the State Working Committee to use the novelty match and other activities of the Council to honour the departed journalist.

Meanwhile, a minute of silence was observed as a mark of respect to the dead colleague.

The Chairman went ahead to appeal to all the chapel Chairmen to make commitments towards the burial, being a responsibility of the Union members to bury one of their own.

Timi Ebikagboro died at the age of 47, leaving behind a young wife and four lovely kids. Until his death, he was a media assistant to the NFA Chairman, Mr. Amaju Pinnick. He will be buried on the 20th of October in his home town of Burutu, Delta State.
