Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State

The member representing Ughelli South, Udu, Uvwie and Urhobos of Warri South on the Board of DESOPADEC, Hon Taleb Tebite, has congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on his award of SilverBird Man of the Year, describing it as well deserved.

Hon Tebite, who commended the transparent manner in which the award process was organized noted that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa emerged after scoring the highest vote among the nominees.

The DESOPADEC Commissioner said the good work of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has gained both local and international recognition as he has bagged several awards from within and outside the country.

He listed some of the achievements of Governor Okowa to include construction and rehabilitation of over 1000 roads, training and empowering of over forty thousand youths through his YAGEP and STEP schemes.

Others are sports and agricultural development as well as repositioning of the health sector.

Chief Tebite noted that the unprecedented achievements of the workaholic Governor, as he is fondly called, by Deltans have endeared him to the people.

He noted that the people of his mandate area have pledged to vote massively for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and other candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party.
