Chairman, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta state, Dr. Michael Tidi on Saturday debunked alleged security threat in the council, calling on members of the public to disregard such information.
Tidi, who was reacting to a purported letter written to the leadership of Igbudu market warning traders not to open shop on Monday April 29 for fear of an alleged security breach, urged the traders to disregard the alleged directive.
The Warri South Council Boss emphatically declared that there is no security threat in Igbudu Market /Hausa Quarters and other parts of Warri South Local Government Area.
Dr. Tidi stressed that the Police Area Command in Warri has been duly communicated to ensure that the traders are given the necessary protection against persons with criminal tendencies who are capable of causing security breach in and around Igbudu Market as well as other parts of the local government area.
According to Dr. Tidi, “The major plans of my administration is socio-economic development, hence high premium has been placed on expansion of business activities as well as ensuring peace and security around market places and other investments’ concerned.”
