The militant group, Niger Delta Avengers have sent a strong Sallah message to President Mohammadu Buhari as they blew up three Chevron Manifolds.

Militant-1-300x300The group in a statement by its spokesperson, Mudoch Agbinibo, published in their website identified the manifolds as RMP 22, 23 and 24.

The attacks, according to the avengers, were carried out between 10:50pm to 11:10pm Wednesday night.

The group wishes all Muslims in the globe “Happy Eid Mubarak to our Muslim Brothers.”

The statement reads: “Between the hours of 10:50pm to 11:10pm our (Niger Delta Avengers)  strike team blew up Chevron Manifolds.

“The manifolds are  RMP 22, 23  and 24.

“Happy Eid Mubarak to our Muslim Brothers.”

Niger Delta avengers have continued its onslaught on oil installations even after President Buhari has warned militants that Nigeria’s unity was not negotiable.

Buhari gave the warning on Wednesday while receiving a cross section of Nigerians most of whom were Muslims who came to pay him Sallah homage at the presidential villa.

The president’s warning came on the heels of incessant bombings of oil and gas installations in the Niger Delta region by the Niger Delta Avengers, which apparently threatens the peace and unity of the country.

Buhari said: “We have to concentrate on the militants to try to know how many of them in terms of groupings, try to get in touch with their leadership, to try to persuade them to please give Nigeria a chance.

“I assure them that when we were very junior officers, we were told by our leaders, by the Head of State which was Gen. Gowon that to keep Nigeria one is a task that must be done. We never thought of oil. What we were after is one Nigeria. Please, pass the message to the militants that one Nigeria is not negotiable. And I pray they better accept it. The constitution is very clear. I assure them there would justice.”

But few hours after President Buhari gave the avengers the warning, the called off his bluff and attacked the Chevron manifolds same day.
