A Chieftain of    Delta Ijaw APC,   High Chief Michael Johnny from Gbaramatu Kingdom,  Warri  South West Local Government Area   of Delta State has congratulated former governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency,  Timipre  Sylva  and presidential Spokesperson,  Buhari/Osinbajo 2019 Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo (SAN) for their appointments as ministers by President  Muhammadu Buhari, describing  the appointments as square pegs on square holes.

In a Press Statement,  Chief  Johnny  who is a former APC  Delta South  Senatorial Candidate in the last general elections,  described their  appointments as  well deserved, saying it  will build confidence, strength  and pride in   members of APC  in Delta and Bayelsa States.

He said that; “I want to express my profound gratitude to  President Muhammadu Buhari  for appointing true representatives of the people from the core Niger Delta area. With their wealth of experience, they will not disappoint us”.

“From my heart of hearts, I want to   congratulate,  Timipre Sylva and  Festus  Keyamo for their well deserved appointments  and to implore  them to discharge their duties diligently with the blue prints laid before them”, he said

According  to him,  “Festus Keyamo,  a Senior Advocate of Nigeria SAN, social crusader, critic, columnist and human rights activist is a founding member of Delta State APC. He has proved himself as  prudent  and  capability in different areas of responsibilities. Keyamo was searched out to  take  charge of  the directorate of strategic communications for the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari, where he did fantastically well to communicate conspicuously the manifestos of our great Party to Nigerians”.

On the  former Governor of  Bayelsa State,  His Excellency Timipre  Sylva,  he stated that;  “He  is a dedicated  leader  of our Party, APC    who earlier embraced the change mantra and brought  the APC family in Bayelsa State to lime light. In the just concluded general elections, he galvernized the grassroots that produced one senator, two Federal House of Representatives members and four members of the State House of Assembly”.

While expressing total confidence in the duo,  the Delta Ijaw APC leader said that; “Once again, I want to congratulate them for well deserved appointments. They are men of integrity, tested and trusted”.
