Chairman of the Warri South Local Government Area, Hon Dr Michael Tidi on Friday said the council is ready to upgrade the Omadino Health care centre, assuring that it will be ready before the end of this year.

Tidi said this when he paid a visit to the health centre for an on the spot assessment of facilities in Omadino Health Centre.

He said the inspection was necessary because of reports reaching the council about the poor State of facilities in the health centre.

Dr. Tidi, immediately, directed the Head of Works Department, Engr. Isaac Otiedhe, to immediately commence a critical assessment of the infrastructural state of the health facility.

He assured the people of Omadino that the intended upgrade of the health centre, was to bring it up-to-speed with the growing demands of the people.

The Warri South council boss who spoke to newsmen said, “I am here to see things for myself as your can see the place is operating below capacity.

“We believe that the first thing to do is to carry out a comprehensive renovation of facilities in the health centre.

“All things being equal, we should be able to finish the renovation of the health center before the end of this year.

The immediate past Secretary to Warri South Local Government, Mr. Joseph Oribioye, the Permanent Secretary, Delta State Primary Healthcare Development Agency for Warri South, Dr. Tosan Sagay, the Warri South Council Head of Works Department, Engr. Isaac Otiedhe and other key Officials of the Council, agonistic accompanied the chairman to Omadino.

Tidi also disclosed that there will be perimeter fencing of the health centre, while a generating set for alternative power supply, pipe born water and other facilities will be provided in line with the resolve of his administration to boost primary healthcare delivery in the local government area.
