The Ukwuani Local Government NULGE branch Chairman, Comrade Dan Ojo has encouraged the staff of the council to be law abiding, shun absenteeism, lateness to duty and indolence as the union at the state level is doing all within its capabilities and the ambit of the law to address the financial challenges facing the council staff in the state.

He made this statement during the swearing in/inauguration of the
newly elected NULGE executives of the Ukwuani Local Government at the staff canteen in the council secretariat.

Comrade Ojo thanked the entire staff for the confidence reposed on his administration which resulted in the historic Congress resolution that culminated in the epic returning of the entire executive members in the immediate past regime unopposed which happened only in Ukwuani Local Government Council of the 25 local government councils in Delta State.

The NULGE chairman appealed to everyone to support the newly
inaugurated executives with all sincerity and vigour as the success of
any administration lies squarely on the collective efforts of the
leaders and the led; he added that making the second chance a reality has injected him with a renewed spirit and a heart of encouragement to discharge the duties of his office in a way that will only enhance their joys and fulfilment, he stated.

Comr. Ojo who is the Chairman of all NULGE chairmen in Delta State also advised the staff to be patient and trust in God for their
present financial order will soon be a thing of the past.

Earlier in his address, the Head of Personnel Management (HPM) Ukwuani Local Government, Sir Gabriel Okonkwo congratulated the excos for their discipline and loyalty which the staff found in them.

He enjoined the staff to be well behaved at all times promising that the management will always support the union. He further appealed to the staff to co-operate with the bio metrics exercise that is on going in the state.

Responding on behalf of the newly sworn-in excos, Comrade Anthony Odumegwu the PRO of the union thanked the amiable chairman Comr. Dan Ojo and the entire work force that returned them unopposed due to their outstanding performance.

The PRO pledged the loyalty of the excos and promised that they will abide by the rules and regulations of the union, adding that at the end of their second tenure Ukwuani NULGE will be rated the best in the 25 local governments, he stated.
