Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, Dr Michael Tidi, on Thursday urged Delta State commissioner designate, Comrade Isaac Weyinmi Agbateyiniro, to continue to unite the people of Warri South Local Government Area, saying that his appointment was a welcome development.

Tidi, who spoke at the Warri South Local Government Lodge, GRA Warri when Comrade Agbateyiniro paid him a courtesy visit, saying the appointment of Comrade Agbateyiniro is a great addition to the Warri South council politics, adding that his coming into Warri South Council politics is timely.

While congratulating Comrade Agbateyiniro on his appointment as Commissioner designate, Tidi noted that Warri South council Area needed someone like Agbateyiniro to promote Warri further.

“I want to praise and thank God almighty first for making this commissioner to be my brother and my friend. We can say we will always be happy to have a commissioner like you.

“Having you here is a great joy and on behalf of the people of Warri south and my family I want congratulate you. What has happened in your nomination is the grace of God and all of us in Warri South celebrate you.

“What you are doing in visiting every stakeholder and key player of the council is a good step towards the right path. I will urge you to continue the good work in acknowledging everyone and uniting the people of Warri south.

“I want to plead with you that your coming in should birth a new collaboration. As a collaborator to all, don’t leave Warri South to an invisible hand. Bring every part of Warri South together irrespective of the tribal and personal difference so as to build trust across the LGA. I have no doubt that you will bring the desired result as a commissioner,” Tidi said.

Earlier, Comrade Agbateyiniro told the Warri South Council Chairman that he was at the office of the chairman to seek for ways that they can collaborate to make Warri South Council Area and Delta State better.

Agbateyiniro said that he decided to take this step because he knows the importance of working with all leaders of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the council areas in particular and the state in general.

“Warri South will not be disappointed in me as the commissioner from this area. I will carry everyone along in the discharge of my duties when given my task. It is a general collaboration to put Warri and delta state on the world map.

“Mr chairman I want to thank you for this privilege to air my view. Once again I want to assure you that I won’t disappoint you, Warri South, and Delta State at large, Agbateyiniro said.
