The acting Deputy National Chairman, Dr. Cairo made the disclosures while fielding questions from newsmen in Benin City recently.

Dr. Cairo who asserted that there is every likelihood that an agreement would be reached at the end of the negotiation stressing that while the negation continues, they await a favorable court verdict.

“So far so good, no agreement has been reached but it looks very likely that we will have an agreement that I can assure you. Modu Shariff, I have his permission to say that he has not reached an agreement as at today with anybody but he is going to address a press conference on Monday but we are continuing with our cases in court because we believe that by the time the judiciary makes its final pronouncement, we will be on the side of the law and we are very hopeful that we are going to win because we believe in the rule of law”, Dr. Cairo said.

Cairo noted that the conflicts generated from the chairmanship tussle will further strengthen the unity of the party pointing that the party will get over it in no distant time.

He said PDP as a party is fighting the war of impunity all over the states which was also the reason it lost  Edo State to the All Progressives Congress in the past election.

“This issue of impunity we must address it. Exactly what happened while PDP lost Edo State, these are the issues we are fighting. Naturally, there is no way PDP would have lost Edo State, it is still impunity that cost it”, he said.

He stressed that they are currently repositioning the party to winning all the states back in the next election.
