Chief Rita Lori-Ogbebor

Dr Michael Tidi, Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, on Thursday congratulated Frontline Rights activist and prominent Itsekiri leader, Chief Rita Lori-Ogbebor, on the occasion of her birth anniversary, today 13 January 2022.

Tidi in a congratulatory message by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr Francis Sadhere, described Lori-Ogbebor, who is also the Igba of Warri Kingdom, as a warm and caring humanitarian, a loving mother and grandmother.

He said Lori-Ogbebor is an unabashed nationalist whose unequivocal devotion to the progress of her Itsekiri Kingdom and Delta, has propelled her to
continues to agitate tirelessly for the upliftment of the downtrodden and the disenfranchised.

Tidi added that Lori-Ogbebor has over the years, fought for the right of the ordinary and downtrodden people of her beloved State through peaceful means.

“On behalf of my family and the good people of Warri South Local Government Area, I wish to congratulate you, Chief Rita Lori-Ogbebor, the Igba of Warri (Irojowo), as you celebrate your birthday today Thursday 13 January 2022.

“Your entire philosophy of life is hinged upon being an Itsekiri princess, towing the inspiring path of your great grandmother whose traditional title you were found worthy to inherit.

“It is this legacy that you seeks to preserve by holding tenaciously on to the virtues of dignity, uprightness and social responsibility.

“You have been a role model and an example of selfless giving to this generation, and we are proud to hold you as someone worthy of emulation.

“As you mark your years of existence on Earth today, I join others in wishing you a very happy birthday. May you have many more years and sound health to stay with us and continue to lead!

“We are thankful for you and pray that, as you celebrate your birthday, you will be graced with many more years filled with sound health and joy.
