The Commissioner representing Ughelli South, Udu, Uvwie and Urhobos of Warri South on the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOOADEC, and Coordinator of Ughelli South People Democratic Party, PDP, campaign committee, Hon Taleb Tebite has urged Christians to vote massively for all PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

Hon Tebite spoke when he joined other PDP members led a former Deputy Governor and Chairman of the campaign committee, Professor Amos Utuama, to a Thanksgiving Service to flag off the Ughelli South PDP Ward-to-Ward Campaign.

The DESOPADEC Commissioner said that they decided to flag off the Ward-to-Ward campaign in the church because of their strong belief that anything handed over to God always end up in success.

He commended the church in Ughelli South LGA for their support and prayers for the state government, even as he urged Christians to vote out the All Progressive Congress, APC, at the national level, noting that the church has suffered severe persecution under the APC-led federal government.

The Ughelli South PDP Campaign Coordinator tasked Christians to vote for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for President; Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for Governor; Hon Evelyn Oboro for Senate; Hon Samuel Marierke for House of Representatives and Hon Reuben Izeze for House of Assembly.

Chief Tebite pointed out that Ughelli South LGA has benefitted a lot from the Okowa administration both in terms of projects and appointments and advised the people to reciprocate this gesture in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy, as “anything short of this will be politically suicidal.”

While expressing hope for a landslide victory for the PDP, Hon Tebite disclosed that the campaign train will move from ward to ward canvassing massive support for all PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
