As part of efforts to strengthen the security operations of the Police in Warri South council area, the council chairman, Dr Michael Tidi, on Thursday donated another Toyota Sienna Bus to the Warri Area Command of the Nigerian Police.

It would be recalled that the Warri South Council had on Friday September 3, 2021, donated two Toyota Sienna Buses to the Police at ‘A’ and ‘B’ Divisions in Warri.

Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, who handed over the key of the vehicle to the Police after a security meeting held at his office in Warri South Council Main Secretariat, stated that the donation was in-line with his administration’s peace and security agenda.

Tidi urged the police to work together and share intelligence with their sister agencies to ensure effective security in the council.

Tidi who was flanked by Secretary to the Local Government, Mr. Joseph Oribioye, Warri South Council Head of Personnel Management, Dr. (Mrs.) Minnie Igbrude and Treasurer to Warri South Local Government, Mr. Ugborugbo Moses, assured the Police of sustained synergy, adding that the Sienna Bus would assist the Police in combating crime.

ACP Abubakar Ibrahim Argungu, Warri Area Commander of the Nigeria Police, who spoke through one of the Officers, Onana A. Umar, appreciated Warri South Local Government Council for the gesture.

He said the gesture would go a long way in fighting criminality in Warri South Council Area.

“The first one he presented to us, he took us by surprise. And today he has done the same thing. So we are grateful for this, Argungun said.
