Commandant Suleman A. Jimoh, Commandant, Delta State Command of the NSCDC

Delta State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed over one thousand (1,000) officers and men of the State Command to ensure safety of lives and properties of Deltans during the forthcoming Sallah celebrations in the State.

This was disclosed by Commandant Suleman A. Jimoh, Commandant, Delta State Command of the NSCDC in a statement signed by ASC I Anthony Uchenna, Command Public Relations Officer (CDPRO), Delta State Command made available to the Independent in Asaba.

Commandant Jimoh further disclosed that this was done in fulfilment of their commitment to the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI) in the state as well as ensure that all facilities of interest to the growth of the Nation’s Economy were effectively protected.

According to Commandant Jimoh, ” this is in line with the charge of the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi PhD, mni, OFR to all State Commandants to rejig, reinvigorate, resuscitate and re-strategize the state security architecture in the protection of oil pipelines/facilities and installations in the state during and after the Sallah celebrations in the state and the Country at large.”

The State Commandant then tasked Area Commanders to ensure proper Security coordination of their areas, while Divisional Officers are to effectively mobilize their personnel for deployment to all recreational areas.

The Delta State Commandant added, “Component Commanders and Special Forces are on red alert to achieve a watertight Security in all identified flashpoints and for maximum protection of the Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI) in the State.,”

He further added, “as the lead agency in the protection of all Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI),especially oil & gas pipelines/facilities and all schools, our collective resolve to guarantee peace, safety and protection of lives and Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI) in synergy with other Security agencies must be carried out through our collective inputs.”

Commandant Jimoh felicitated with all Muslim faithfuls in the state, the Country and by extension across the world, he wished them a peaceful Eid el-Fitr celebration, just as he prayed God amighty for a more peaceful Nigeria.
