Royal Eagles Football Club, Oleh is set to showcase its players talent at the forthcoming 2019 Bet9ja Royal Cup slated to commence Saturday, September 14, 2019 for teams in Delta State where grassroots talents would be discovered and harnessed.

This was disclosed by Emeotu Andrew Oreromena, Head Coach, Royal Eagles Football Club,  he said that the tournament would be an avenue to give their players exposure as they would play clubs from other parts of the state.

Coach Oreromena stated that grassroot teams should focus more on the developmental goals of the competition and not on the top prize cash for the overall winners.

According to Coach Oreromena, “we want to use the 2019 Bet9ja Royal Cup to expose our players. Hopefully, we will meet other good teams from various parts of the state. We want to use this opportunity well. If we win the competition is not bad, but what I told you before is our aim here. All teams should see the tournament as a developmental competition. The prize money is not everything in a tournament.”

The Head Coach said that as the clock eagerly ticks towards the kick-off date of date of September 14,2019 of the tournament, Royal Eagles F. C. would hope to use this soccer tourney to light up their best moments again in Delta State grassroot football.

It could be recalled that Royal Eagles F. C.has won laurels clinching the 2013 Utuama Peace Cup and 2014 Ewu Peace Cup in a spectacular style just as they got bronze in 2010 GulderFive-a-Side National Football Championships.

The Eagles will play their qualifying games in Isoko South Local Government Area qualifiers.
