The reconciliation committee was also charged not to betray the confidence reposed on them in their bid to finding lasting solution to the problem of faction and dissatisfaction among members.

Prince Godwin Ogorugba who inaugurated the Reconciliation Committee at the Isoko North Council Exco Chambers recently, gave the committee two months to achieve their goal.

Ogorugba stressed that, the reconciliation committee was necessary to avert crisis in the Local Government with a view to ensuring oneness and unity within the party.

“The task ahead for this Committee is enormous since the scope is quite large ranging from members who have left the party long ago to some of the aggrieved members who felt they have been hurt in one way or the other. I want to appeal to all Party leaders, LGA, Ward Exco members and all Party faithful to co-operate with this Committee to enable them achieve the set objectives since this is the only way to bring sanity to the system,”Said Ogorugba.

The Isoko North PDP boss further specified terms of reference for the committee to include: “finding out the remote cause of grievances, identify aggrieved person to be reconciled, finding a lasting solution to how future congresses can be organized peacefully to avoid rancor and bringing back founding members of the Party who may have left due to frustration.”

Meanwhile, Comr. Emmanuel Egbabor, the Executive Chairman of Isoko North coumcil area, had earlier preached unity of the Party to all saying that, by 2019 APC cannot win Presidency.

He called on Party Faithful including the leaders, to stop creating problems for the party, citing copiously the unanimous voice that made him the only candidate that bought form of the party in Isoko North during the Local Government Election in 2014.

Egbabor also sued for maximum support for the Ogorugba led PDP administration in Isoko North.

The Chairman of the Reconciliation Committee, Hon. Philip Adheke, in his acceptance speech promised to work assiduously along with his team members to achieve success with good record of proper reconciliation assuring that the purpose of the committee will not be defeated.
