The Chairmanship aspirant for Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State, under the People Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Alex Ufuoma Oyoro, has reaffirmed his readiness to stem poverty in the area if voted in as the Council Chairman.

In his words, “the people of Ughelli North have no business with poverty, I will provide a new beginning for Ughelli North, I have marshaled out plans that would transform the area into a progressive modern Council that would become a globally recognized location for investment in high-tech businesses, financial services and technology-based entrepreneurship”

Oyoro who made this statement at Ughelli, urged the people of Ughelli North to follow the trend worldwide where men with ideas and ingenuity were entrusted to lead their people.

He said that he would put in place a blueprint that would attract over N3.3 Billion into Ughelli North in his first six months in office.

The PDP Chairmanship aspirant also said that he would reduce unemployment to the barest minimum within one year and create an enabling environment that would make Ughelli North people enjoy the dividends of democracy.

He advised the people to think right and vote for him so that the research carried out by him and his team of experts to transform Ughelli North into an industrialized and modern Council where there would be abundance for all would not elude them.

Prince Oyoro named rubber, oil and clay as some of the natural resources that he had discovered in Ughelli North and promised to reach out to foreign investors whom, according to him, he already had contact with to explore the potential in the area.

He assured that by the time he is through with his plans for Ughelli North Local Government Area, the Council would be the richest in the country in terms of wealth, human and infrastructural development.
