Members of the Warri Depot of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) have been assured that they will get their due allocation of petroleum products just as the association would resist any attempt by the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC) to short change them in the allocation of petroleum products due them.

This assurance was given by Mr. Zino Onaemor, the newly elected chairman, Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Warri Depot in his inaugural speech at the end of a tension soaked election where he defeated the incumbent, Chief Benjamin Emoefe, he promised that members welfare would be uppermost in his mind as he promised to operate an open door policy.

Mr. Onaemor said that IPMAN would no longer tolerate situation where PPMC allegedly allocate more petroleum product to its(PPMC) staff at the expense of iIPMAN members, adding, “we will not tolerate any situation where PPMC will shortchange our members in allocation of products, where they allegedly allocate the products to themselves.”

While soliciting the cooperation of members to enable his administration deliver on its mandate to the betterment of members, Mr. Onaemor called for constructive criticism to move the association to the next level.

The newly elected chairman of IPMAN, Warri Depot extended hands of fellowship to  Chief Emoefe and his supporters saying, “we are one big family, we are brothers and sisters, election has come and gone, please let’s join hands together to better our lots and move the association to greater heights.”

He called on all stakeholders in the distribution network of petroleum products to synergise with IPMAN to enable the association serve the public well, he said that to avert incidents of adulterated products, his administration would set up a task force in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that the public is better served..

Mr. Onaemor then called on the Delta state government to create a bigger Trailer park for petroleum tankers in Warri depot, saying that this would stop the drivers from parking their trucks indiscriminately along the NPA Expressway thereby causing gridlock and posing dangers and hazards to other road users.

In his valedictory speech, Chief Emoefe expressed his appreciation to all members and stakeholders in the business for their support, he pledged his unalloyed support and loyalty to the administration of the newly elected Mr. Zino Onaemor led executive, he prayed God to give Mr. Onaemor wisdom to pilot the affairs of the association

In his brief speech, Chief Benjamin Odjugo, Chairman of the Election/Harmonization committee commended the contestants for their maturity, he urged them to operate an open door policy where all are carried along just as he admonished members to collaborate with the new executive with a view to to take  the body to greater heights.

According to Chief Odjugo, “I want to urge you all to work with the Mr. Onaemor led executive to enable us all to succeed, we are in business and if there is no unity among us, there is no way we can move forward.”
