The Nigerian Army has arrested six oil pipeline vandals  who were allegedly caught siphoning crude oil  from the Pan Ocean pipeline sin Ogharefe-Oghara, Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State.

Men of the 19 battalion, Nigerian Army who made this confirmation yesterday said the suspects- four of whom are from Edo State while the other two are Deltans- were arrested at about 3:30am at the pan ocean pipeline while their vehicles including two Iveco trucks, one Mercedes Benz truck, one Mercedes c class car and one Jeta car were recovered and later set ablaze by the security agents.

While the suspects were paraded at Koko,  the headquarters of the 19 battalion, one of the senior military officers who craved anonymity said the army apprehended the suspects after they got a tipoff about their operations adding that the suspects bolted when they sighted the uniformed men leaving their items and vehicles but were promptly apprehended.

The suspects will be handed to the appropriate authorities for prosecution after the Nigerian army has completed preliminary investigations.
