Mr Denis Omovie of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won the Warri South Constituency II in the Delta House of Assembly.

Omovie polled 5,256 to defeat his closest contender, Bright Obodo of the Labour Party (LP) who scored 5,001 votes.

Mr Vincent Okudolor of the All Progressive Congress (APC) scored 1,538.

Mr Joseph Evien, the Returning Officer of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Warri South who announced the results said 70, 572 people registered in the Local Government adding that 17, 158 voters were accredited.

Addressing newsmen at the INEC office, Omovie described the election as perfect adding that he would justify the confidence the people reposed on him.

”I commend Nigerians and INEC especially the card readers, it has brought a lot of sanity in the electoral process.

”I also thank my supporters, I promise to carry them along and I will not disappoint them,” he said.

Earlier, Mr Godwin Abigor of the Social Democratic Party(SDP) emerged winner of the Warri South Constituency I.
