Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State has been scheduled to grace the Third Annual Convention/Lecture of the Delta Online Publishers Forum(DOPF).

This is contained in a statement signed by Dcn. Chijioke W. Ngbolue and Mr. Miracle Enuji, chairman and secretary respectively of the Convention Planning Committee, the Committee disclosed that Governor Okowa is expected to be the Special Guest of Honour at the event.

The event slated to hold on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Banquet hall of Orchid Hotels and Conference Centre, Asaba will commence by 11am.

According to the Committee, the occasion which will also be attended by the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege as the Guest of Honour, will be chaired by RT. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, Minority Leader of the House of Representative s adding that the Convention will feature a Lecture, which is the Forum’s third in their annual lecture series.

The statement added that Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, immediate past Governor of Delta State has been scheduled as the Guest Speaker for this year’s annual lecture and will be speaking on the theme, ‘Niger Delta Economy: Building A New Face For The Region.’

The Committee further added that renowned Niger Delta activist, Ms. Annkio Briggs, the Delta State Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Patrick Muoboghare, former Provost, Federal College of Education (Technical) Asaba, Dr. Ignatius Nwanze Ezoem and Chief Comrade Sheriff Mulade of CEPEJ have all been selected as panel of discussants for the lecture.
