Comr. Charles Ojefia, Public Relations Officer, Governor’s Office Annex, Warri has emerged chairman, Nigerian Union of Journalists(NUJ) Field Information Chapel in an election adjudged to be free and fair.

Inaugurating the new executive, Comr. Salvation Ogono, vice chairman, Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council commended the Field Information Chapel for a smooth election just as he charged the new executive to live up to their oath of office.

Comrade Ogono urged them to ensure they work for the unification of all members , adding that they should carry every body along in the scheme of things even as he stated that as one family, there was no winner nor looser .

Com. Salvation Ogono who led the State Council to observe the election, was accompanied by the State Assistant Secretary of the Union, Comr. Felix Ekwu and the Auditor, Comr. Celestine Afokoba who all charged the members to support the newly elected executive so they can realize their goals for the Chapel.

The election which took place at the Ughelli Office of the Ministry of Information was well attended by members of the chapel.

In his acceptance speech after the inauguration, the newly elected Chairman of of the Chapel, Comr. Charles Ojefia expressed his appreciation to all for a successful election specifically for finding him worthy to lead the chapel.

He called for the support of all for the task ahead, assuring that he would lead by example just as he said his leadership would be an inclusive one.

Comr. Ojefia thanked the Credentials’ Committee for a job well done and the immediate past Executive for driving the process to a conclusive end.

Other members of the newly elected executive are Comr. Kesiena Chatherine Macualay- Egajivwie (Vice Chairman), Comr. Violet Elohor Foghola (Secretary); Comr. Omenogor Ifeanyi ( Assistant Secretary) ; Comr. Diana Oluwole ( Treasurer); Comr. Rachel Ogaga (Financial Secretary)and Comr. Ogowewo Samson ( Auditor).
