CHIEF Festus Ochonogor, Managing Director/ CEO of DESOPADEC briefing newsmen in Warri

Managing Director of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission DESOPADEC, Chief Festus Ochonogor has unveiled the 2024 roadmap that will drive sustainable development in oil bearing communities

He disclosed this today during a chat with newsmen, at the close of the first DESOPADEC Board Meeting of the year, held at the Commission’s headquarters in Warri, Delta State.

Chief Ochonogor identified the key areas to include, inspection of ongoing projects , completion and commissioning of completed projects in the mandate areas of the commission

“Organizing training for members of the board and staff of the commission which is aimed at increasing competence and productivity of staff”

“The commission will also commence activities for the next batch of trainees at the DESOPADEC Skill Academy (DSA)

Speaking further, Chief Ochonogor said the commission will also boost its relationship between board and staff in terms of staff welfare that can add value to their jobs

He also used the opportunity to congratulate the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori on his affirmation by the Supreme Court as the Governor of Delta State

Present at the meeting are Chairman of the Board, Chief Bar. John Nani, Executive Director Finance and Administration Chief Kome Okpobor, Executive Director Projects Chief Taleb Tebite, Executive Director Social Services Chief Favour Izuokumor Executive Director PRS Chief Nicholas Efele and all commissioners representing the Ethnic Nationality
