National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW)has dissolved the Chief Olaye Odion led executive in Edo State.

This was contained in a press statement signed by Comr. Kayode Agbeyangi, National Secretary, National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) made available to Reformeronline in Benin City, Edo State.

According to the Comr. Agbeyangi, the dissolution arised from the Court Judgment restraining Chief Odion Olaye from parading himself as the Chairman of NURTW in Edo State as his tenure has long expired after 19 years as Chairman of the Union.

The statement further revealed that 16 persons have been constituted in accordance with Article 42, section 7, sub-section (I) of the Union’s constitution and inaugurated immediately.

Members inaugurated are Comr. Saturday Oamen, Chairman, Comr. Anthony Osemobor, Deputy Chairman, Comr. Sampson Oviawe, Vice Chairman, Comr. Peter Iyase, Vice Chairman, Comr. Henry Omogbon, Vice Chairman, Comr. Godwin Akhimie, State Publicity Secretary, Comr. Godspower Ugbomon, Assistant State Secretary, Comr. Osasu Eke, State Organizing Secretary, Comr. Osarentin Igbinoghene, State Treasurer, Comr. Sunday Ighodaro, Deputy State Treasurer, Comr. Godwin Ogihiagbe, State Financial Secretary, Comr. Nosa Aideyan, State Auditor, Abiodun Ayonotte, Assistant State Auditor, Comr. Braimoh Salami, State Trustee 1, Comr. Zakawanu Garuba, State Trustee 2 and Comr. Johnny Imafidon, State Trustee 3.

The statement added that the Caretaker Committee shall be in office pending the election of a new Executive.
