General Mahammadu Buhari

The group comprise of ordinary hard working Nigerians, was in the traditional chief’s palace to commit and contribute to the leadership qualities of General Buhari and the  vice presidential candidate Professor Yemi Osibanjo stewardship as, presidential general election beckon faster.

Speaking on the occasion of the advocacy visit, the convener and National Coordinator, of CAN, Honourable Osareniye Ikponmwonba Noel, Commended the Esogban for his leadership traits and his distinguished character quality; while asserting that, it was imperative to complement on the structure of peace, unity, love and progress of the All Progressive Congress in Edo State and Nigeria.

According to him, “we want to thank you most sincerely, for granting us the opportunity to pay you this advocacy visit. We are very much aware of your antecedents to promote good governance to bring about the needful peace and stability, and as a group, we believe in the change slogan of the party and GMB .We assure you come March 28, 2015 all APC candidates will be voted into power and the change is achieved”

In similar vein, the National Director, Strategy and Planning of the group, Comrade Valentine Ogedegbe reiterated the value of the prophecy remarked by Esogban at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in 2013 governorship campaign, noting that the time was ripe to align with the prophecy

He Said,   “we remember in November, 2013 you admonished a prophecy that if the opposition party can fuse into one, then the Government at the Centre will change, today sir, it is almost coming to pass, therefore, we as advocate for Change, has identified with that stand that come March 28, 2015, change will occur through the power of the Permanent Voters Card (PVC).

Responding to CAN, the Esogban of Benin, Chief Edebiri pour encomium and praises on the group for taking a bold step of a progressive ideology of change to unseat those that has not perform well at the federal level in the governance of the people.

In his words, “I welcome you (CAN) to this place and more so, I appreciate the idea and concept. I want to say; since it is not a political organization you have my earnest support. As it stand today in Edo State, after the peaceful demise of Chief Tony Enahoro, am the oldest politician in the state. If there are any other persons contesting it please let me know”.

I did say what you said I said during the event at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in November 2013 precisely that, if you people want to merge as a party, I see a new party emerging after 2015 general election. If you recall, what I said that time about oracle has spoken, it has now turn to reference point among our people after the re-election of Adams Oshiomhole as the Governor of the state. Let me clear this, I am not the Oracle but I hear and understand the language of the Oracle. I have not seen any thing that has changed in the political calculation of this state. But then, even if there’s any change, it is in favour of the APC.

As at the time I said that, we only had few APC governors, but today, it is a different story. I also remembered how I was queried for supporting a non- Bini candidates as the candidate for action Congress party (AC). On that ground, I received several calls across Europe, Canada, and all over the world praising me for standing against ethnic politics. But then, people should not take tribal sentiments in passing judgment on any one. I think today the Prophecy has come through. So APC is coasting to 100% victory. I have not been to ASO Rock before but the only time I want to visit ASO ROCK is when APC occupies. I will live to see that ASO ROCK is occupied by the other party rather than the PDP
