The immediate past Secretary to the Delta State Government, Comrade Ovuzuorie Macaulay has extented an olive branch to his critics, saying, “for those who have been criticising me in one way or the other, I forgive you all.

Comr. Ovuozuorie made this assertion recently during the Isoko Patriotic Front (IPF) special thanksgiving service held in honour of Ovuozourie at St. Philip’s  Church, Owhelogbo and a Christmas celebration reception party in his country home where he hosted all his political loyalists in Isoko North and South Local Government Area.

Speaking during the thanksgiving service, Comr Ovuzourie expressed gratitude to God almighty for seeing him through all the years he was in government and also to his loyalists who have stood for him in all these years.

He said, “In all my years in government, I served without blemish and it is God who made it possible for me. I will ever remain grateful to God who made me victorious during all of my trials and also to all my loyalists for their trust they repose on me during the times of my trials and how they stood firm for me till now.

“I say thank you to IPF for all they have done in my name and also to every other group. I urge them to continue and to put their trust in God, for my hope is built on nothing else and without God nothing is possible. Also to always stand for each other as they have stood for me, because only one tree cannot make a forest”.

On his part, IPF Chairman, Hon Daniel Tutumor, expressed gratitude to God for seeing them through in the IPF thanksgiving held in the 13 Wards under Isoko North Constituency and in honour of their Grand patron Comr Ovuzuorie Macaulay, their patron Hon Mike Ogwah, their leaders Hon Leo Ogor and Hon Emmanuel Egbabor for all God has done in their lives.

He recalled how God stood for their grand patron and the group for the past seven years of it’s existence even when others were seeking for their down fall, ascribing their victory as divine work of God almighty.

Meanwhile the Bishop of Oleh Diocese RT. Rev John Usiwoma Aruakpo had earlier in his sermon harped on the need for christians to put their trust in God, noting that, “when you trust in God, He will open ways for you.”

The Bishop also urged christians to emulate Abraham, Moses and Joseph in the Bible who put their trust in God and God saw them through. He also sued for unity among christians and politicians, stressing that, “a divided nation will never stand and let us forgive one another”.

Dignitaries present at the thanksgiving / the reception are Hon Leo Ogor, Reps Minority Leader, Hon Emmanuel Egbabor, Chairman Isoko North Council, Chief Barr APJ Okpakpor, Hon Uwomano Bino, Delta State PDP Youth Leader, Hon Karo Ilolo, HRM.
