Long queues have re-surfaced in filling stations in the oil rich city of Warri, Effurun and other major cities across the country as fuel scarcity bites hard in Delta State.

It was gathered, a litre of fuel is now being sold in many filling stations in Warri and other towns across Delta for #150.

In Warri, the commercial nerve centre of Delta State, the product is being sold by independent marketers for #136 just as the product is not available in stations owned by major marketers.

Speaking in one of the filling station, a motorist Mr. Victor Emake Ogieneni said that; “We are suffering. I have been on this queue for over two hours. No fuel to drive our cars and no fuel to run our generators at home. Governments do something about the situation.”

At Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, a litre of fuel sold for #150 at the weekend.

But in Udu, the headquarters of Udu Local Government Area of the state, most of the filling stations sold a litre of the product for #150.

It was observed that black market sells at #250 to #300 per litre.

Those who spoke urged the Federal Government to address the lingering fuel scarcity in the country, while lamenting that they are passing through hard time.
