Isoko People’s Parliament, a political pressure group had at the end of their at Otor-Igho, Isoko North Local government called on Isoko sons and daughters to work for the overall development and promotion of Isoko nation.

The group that comprises of members cutting across Isoko nation has Pastor (Engr) Jonathan Ukhodiko, Engr Peter Odunwa, and Hon Jude Omena Ogbimi as Patrons/conveners.

Speaking at the meeting, one of the Patrons Pastor (Engr) Jonathan Ukhodiko said that the essence of the meeting was to familiarize with members of the group and encourage them to stand firm to rebuild and promote the development of Isoko nation.

He advised members to imbibe the spirit of oneness and also acknowledge God whenever they find themselves in power, saying God gives promotion and also decides your fate when you fail to acknowledge him. He went further to charge the youths to be productive and enterprising. He advised that whilst academic certificates are essential everyone must not depend on certificates attained from Higher institutions of learning before they cater for self and family , adding that God can only bless the work of ones hands

He harped on the need for youths to learn a trade and promised to do his best in the area of sustainable empowerment so that many will be gainfully engaged and employed.

On his part, Engr Peter Odunwa commended every member of the group for attending, noting that the groups’ major aim is to attract human capital and infrastructural development, inclusiveness as well as ensuring fairness and equity for all.

Responding on behalf of others invited, Lucky Ugbakara expressed appreciation to the patrons for reaching out to the people in the various communities by providing substantial financial palliatives and relief materials during the lockdown

Members of the group also paid courtesy visit to High Chief Moses Odeh to welcome him home as a father and also pledged to always seek advise from him as an elder and leader.

They appreciated him for his immense contributions, specifically in attracting goodwill to the community, saying he has set the ball rolling for every one of them

In his response, High Chief Odeh expressed happiness over the visit and commended them for the great effort in developing the community. He said unity attracts more development to a nation and promised to always keep his doors open whenever they need him. He prayed for God’s blessings, protection and guidance to them.
