Emerhor said that he has no reason whatsoever to back any other party in the country given the lofty programmes and policies, which the newly registered APC had outlined for the development of Nigeria and its people.

The aspirant, while reacting to an interview, said his attention was drawn to the said interview and the several mis-representations contained therein and wondered what the reporter wanted to achieve by inserting what he did not discuss with him in the said interview.

He said; “My attention has been drawn to an interview with the caption ‘Delta Central: My Plans, My Prospects,’ with so many misrepresentations purported to have been made by me.”

However, he said, “when I confronted the interviewer, he promptly apologized for inserting several statements I never made throughout the interview.”

The truth of the matter is that the interview I granted was about my desire to represent Delta Central Senatorial District, following the vacancy created by the sudden death of Senator Pius Ewherido.

For the avoidance of doubt, “I am a loyal APC member, totally committed to building the party in Delta State and ensuring its victory at all elections for the ward to the national level.”

As a matter of fact, the issue of performance of the current Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, government in Delta State under Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and support for PDP Presidency in 2015 never came up for discussion throughout the interview.

According ho him, “These were the opinions of the reporter injected into the interview for inexplicable reasons.”

As an APC member, I owe my unwavering support and loyalty to the party and I am always guided by the party’s positions on its candidates for all elections in Nigeria,” he said.
