The Activist said that ;” I also learnt that the EFCC in its  aggressive drive by the Commission  to recover all hidden assets of former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, who is under investigation for corruption and money laundering, produced another breakthrough last week with the discovery of a property acquired through Shell companies by the former minister at upscale Banana Island in Lagos.”

Comrade Mulade who is the National Coordinator of CEPEJ added that;”I must express my shocked over the whopping sum recovered from the former GMD of the NNPC and that recovered so far from the former Petroleum Minister. The people are suffering and yet those appointed into various positions and our elected officials are busy looting the nation dry. Look at the poor State of the Niger Delta Region, whereas corrupt Nigerians are enriching themselves with the oil money”.

Comrade Mulade who  urged the National Assembly to support the fight against graft, said that “corruption is fighting back”. Well meaning Nigerians should join the President in his determination to stamp out corruption from the country. Let there be speedy trial of corrupt Nigerians. Send corrupt Nigerians to jail because the level of corruption in the Country is alarming”.

“Let us collectively fight the current recession with corruption. If we can win the fight against corruption, recession will disappear. So much has been looted and that is why we are passing through hardships at the moment. We must end corruption in Nigeria otherwise, corruption will end all of us”, the Activist said.

He commended Mr Ibrahim Magu, Acting Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for the good work and implored him to keep it up

Meanwhile, the CEPEJ boss has  commended Nigeria police particularly Lagos state for the recent rescue of  the Turkish school children and many more incidents

Comrade Mulade said;” We want to charge various state police to brace up to the challenges of kidnapping, hijacking, hostage taking and others. These  criminal activities have affected and destroyed Nigeria image and also succeeded in scarring away a lot of investors”.
