Chairman of Warri South Council Area, Dr Michael Tidi has congratulated all Muslim faithful in Warri South Council Area of Delta State, for witnessing this year’s Id el Maulud celebration in commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad.

He urged all Wafferians” to imbibe the spirit of love, patience and perseverance which are the virtues of the prophet, stressing that doing so would guarantee peace and security in the state and the country in general.

Tidi in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr Francis Sadhere, enjoined Warri people, particularly Muslims, to refrain from violence, lawlessness and other acts of criminality, stressing that “all must show responsibility.”

While calling for a stop to all divisive tendencies across the council, the Warri South Council Chairman, urged all Deltans and the youth in particular, to embrace the virtues of hard work and peaceful disposition to fellow humans, irrespective of faith, ideology, social class and ethnicity.

Tidi also appeal to Deltans to cooperate with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s led-Administration in its effort in bringing prosperity to all Deltans.

“On behalf of my family and good people of Warri South Local Government Area, I wish you Barka da Salah. I want to appeal to all youths in the council to imbibed the spirit of togetherness so that peace will reign in Warri South council,” Tidi said.
