Chief Gbagi said this during the reception ceremony of PDP ward chairman of Ughelli south after their swearing into office.

Gbagi said he will not take lightly any one among them who will want to betray the constitution of the party, stating that it was  high time the party got things right by giving power back to the people.

He frowned at a situation whereby someone will just sit at home and text the name of someone in Abuja to come and lead in the local government after the youths that reside in the local government have put all their effort to grow the party.

According to him, “PDP is the only party that has the best zoning system that allows power to go to minority.”

He also said he will call the attention of all Ughelli south elders forum to look into the issue of second tenure in the local Government.

He said it was high time they imitated their sister Local Government, Ethiope west on the decision of one tenure, stressing that anyone who has served faithfully should be encouraged to move a step ahead to contest for a higher position instead of going back for a second term.

Gbagi, however, insisted that such decisions can only be taken after a stakeholder meeting of the party in the local government, advising everyone to pray for all leaders and most especially the state Governor and Ughelli South.
